Simon Springate Kent Plan Bee Project Officer will be giving us a talk about bumble bees. Simon is a long term member of the Kent Field Club and The Bumblebee Conservation Trust. His work includes Kent Plan Bee which is a pollinator action plan covering Kent https://www.kent.gov.uk/environment-waste-and-planning/nature-and-biodiversity/pollinators/kents-plan-bee-pollinator-action-plan‍ The Bumble Bee Conservation Trust was founded in 2006, to address serious concerns about the future of wild bumble bees. There have been multiple projects focused on habitat improvements. They also run BeeWalk. There will be a display about their work in Faversham Visitor Centre during July.
