Details: We will be going a bit further afield for this Field Trip – to Dungeness. The Group has not visited for quite a few years, although many of you will have been there with other groups or on your own. Dungeness is one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world. It is home to 600 species of plants which is a third of all plants found in the UK. The National Nature Reserve (NNR) stretches across Dungeness to encompass the vast RSPB reserve and is intended to help protect the landscape and its wildlife. We will be looking for plants, butterflies and birds. Bring your own lunch, if you plan to spend more than a few hours there, as there are a limited number of places to buy lunch.
